10 Desserts For Independence Day That Will Add A Bang to Any Party

PhototasticCollage-2015-06-25-01-29-11

I recently introduced my mom to pinterest and today while we were on the phone, she made a joke about how all the 4th of July desserts she found were part of huge lists. One that made her  laugh was called “My 47 favorite July 4th desserts”.  I have to say, I looked it up and there were just too many to even start to decide which ones to make. I then got to thinking about my favorite 4th of July desserts and which ones I would suggest to my mom. I thought I would mention that 3, 5, and 6 are the most time consuming on the list, while 7, 9, and 10 are the least time consuming. Out of all of these on the list, if your looking for something that tastes great and will wow a group without taking you all day,  2, 4, and 8 are your best bets.

I plan on making a couple of these this year to take to a friends party, I’ll make sure to update this with pictures when I do.

Happy Baking!

  1. IMO: The meringues are the prettiest, but the red velvet whoopie pies look the tastiest. I’d like to see you categorize them (maybe with high school style “Most Popular” awards). Which is the easiest to make? The most deceptively easy (makes people think you spent days preparing them but in reality are pretty easy)? Best to satisfy a chocolate craving? Lightest (for those watching their waists)?
